National Mentoring Month- January 2007

National Mentoring Month is celebrating its sixth year in 2007. During January, national attention will be focused on the urgent need for mentors, and how individuals, schools, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations can work together to increase the number of mentors, to help brighten futures and provide opportunities for our youth.

In celebrating mentoring and the positive effect it has on young lives our goals are to:

• Raise awareness of mentoring

• Recruit individuals to become mentors

• Promote mentoring by recruiting organizations and businesses to engage their clients & employees in mentoring.
